WHOOP 5.0 Peak with 12-Month Membership - 24/7 Activity Tracker - Obsidian

The WHOOP 5.0 Peak represents the latest generation of the brand's screenless, subscription-based health and fitness wearable, paired with a 12-month Peak membership that unlocks the platform's most advanced longevity and health monitoring features. Finished in the understated Obsidian colorway, this package combines the newly refined WHOOP 5.0 sensor with a SuperKnit band and a waterproof Wireless PowerPack, delivering continuous 24/7 tracking without the distractions of a display.

Hardware Refinements

The WHOOP 5.0 sensor is approximately 7% smaller than its predecessor, with a sleeker profile designed for unobtrusive all-day and overnight wear . Battery life has been substantially improved to over 14 days on a single charge, a significant upgrade from the roughly four days offered by the previous generation . The included waterproof Wireless PowerPack allows for on-wrist charging, enabling continuous data collection without removing the device .

Health and Performance Tracking

The device continuously monitors a comprehensive range of physiological metrics, including heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, skin temperature, blood oxygen (SpO2), respiratory rate, and VO2 Max . A 60% faster processor enables quicker syncing and more accurate workout auto-detection compared to earlier models . The platform supports over 150 activities, from running and swimming to strength training and golf .

Peak Membership Features

The included 12-month Peak membership sits at the middle tier of WHOOP's restructured subscription offering, positioned between the entry-level One and the medical-grade Life plans . Beyond the core Sleep, Strain, and Recovery insights available on all tiers, Peak unlocks several advanced capabilities:

• Healthspan: Calculates a "WHOOP Age" relative to chronological age and tracks "Pace of Aging" using multiple health metrics, offering a long-term view of how daily habits influence physiological aging .

• Health Monitor: Provides baseline vitals tracking for heart rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen, helping users identify deviations from their normal ranges .

• Stress Monitor: Delivers real-time assessments of physiological stress levels throughout the day .

• WHOOP Coach: An AI-powered assistant that provides personalized daily recommendations for sleep, recovery, and activity based on the user's data .

• Women's Hormonal Insights: Tracks menstrual cycles and hormonal fluctuations, correlating them with sleep, recovery, and strain patterns .

• Journal and Habit Tracking: Allows logging of over 160 daily behaviors to identify correlations between routines and recovery outcomes .

Design and Wearability

The screenless design reflects WHOOP's philosophy of passive data collection—insights are delivered through the companion app rather than on the wrist, minimizing distraction during training and daily life . The Obsidian SuperKnit band is constructed for durability and performance, with a redesigned clasp system exclusive to the 5.0 generation . The IP68 water resistance rating permits swimming, showering, and bathing, though the device is not intended for diving or scuba .

Considerations

Prospective buyers should note that the WHOOP experience is fundamentally subscription-dependent; the hardware is effectively bundled with ongoing membership, and features are locked behind the active plan . Some reviewers have observed that app data syncing can occasionally lag, particularly when checking morning metrics . Additionally, the fabric SuperKnit band may retain moisture after swimming or showering and requires regular cleaning to prevent odor.
